Product Use & Testing
.
Our human blood products are collected from qualified individuals with well documented and clincally defined disease diagnoses. All products are for in-vitro use only (non-injectable) and not to be used for human therapeutic or in-vivo application. The material has been tested and found negative for HIV antigen(s), antibodies to HIV I/II (AIDS antibody) and HCV (hepatitis C) and nonreactive for HBsAg (hepatitis B) by FDA required tests. Certificates of Analysis accompany the shipped product. Bulk plasma units contain between 500 to 750 ml each. Smaller quantities of material are available but there is a minimum order of 100 ml of plasma per donor. The plasma is stored at -20 degrees C or colder and no preservatives are added.

Preshipment Evaluation Samples
You may request evaluation samples (1-2ml) representative of bulk material. PLI recommends that customers screen the products in their own laboratory, prior to purchasing material, since there can be inherent vairability between diagnostic testing systems. Please provide detailed information on your specific needs, including antibody specificity, titer, and concentration. Samples are free of charge as long as we receive, within 30 days of shipment, a written or verbal report outlining your evaluation test results. There will be a $25.00 (US) charge per sample if evaluation results are not reported. Samples are shipped F.O.B. Everett, Washingtin, USA. Timely evaluation of samples is encouraged to ensure availability of desired product. We guarantee evaluation samples to be representative of bulk product, but shall not be liable for product quality as a direct result of inappropriate client manufacturing, use or storage.

Product Identification
Each product item is labeled using a donor specific permanent identification number as well as a bar coded bleed number (or lot number). Bar code labels are used so customers may use a bar code reader to track inventory. The labels are heat transfer so they will not fade over time or if exposed to light. The bleed labels may be photocopied and attached with tape if additional labels are required.
